[칠곡=뉴시스] 박홍식 기자 = 경부고속도로 칠곡(서울방향)휴게소는 2일 고속도로 이용객을 대상으로 유관기관 합동 교통안전 캠페인을 진행했다.

이날 행사에는 한국도로공사 구미지사 임직원 20명, 고속도로순찰대 제3지구대 대원 10명, 칠곡(서울방향)휴게소 관계자 10명 등 총 40여 명이 참여해 교통안전 캠페인을 펼쳤다.

참여 기관들은 휴게소 방문객을 대상으로 홍보 리플릿과 생수, 졸음운전 방지 껌, 물티슈 등을 나눠주며 교통법규 준수를 당부했다.

전경진 칠곡(서울방향)휴게소장은 "하절기는 기온 상승으로 인한 졸음운전 등 고속도로 사고 위험이 높아지는 시기인 만큼, 유관기관과 뜻을 모아 선제적인 예방 캠페인을 진행하게 됐다"고 말했다.

이어 "단순히 쉬어가는 공간을 넘어 고객의 안전한 여정을 돕는 '고속도로 안전 기지'로서의 역할에 최선을 다하겠다"고 약속했다.
